This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit most 18" dolls.
Recommended Fabrics: This pattern is designed to work with woven fabrics. Look for fabric that has a bit of texture for a more authentic look. Velvet is a little harder to work with so is not advised for beginners. Look around the fabric store and see what nice red fabric you can find. • Santa Suit Red - Thin Velvet, Velour, Crushed Velvet, Cotton, Light weight denim or corduroy, Velveteen • White Trim – Fun Fur with short pile, Furry fleece, Velvet, Crushed Velvet, Minky, Terry Cloth • Belt – Black and Brown Vinyl for the belt and brown or yellow for the buckle.
Supplies Needed:
-Red Fabric – Jacket, Pants, Hat – 19 x 44”
-White Fabric – 13 x 22”
-Vinyl for Belt – Remnants
-Fusible Interfacing - Remnant
-4 Clear plastic sew on snaps – Size 3 (5/8”)
-White 1” pom-pom or felt ball
-Hand sewing needle
-10.5” Elastic (3/8”) for waist
-6” Elastic (1/4”) for beard
-½” hook and loop tape to match the vinyl belt
-Matching thread
-Fabric Pencil or Pen Marker
-Iron and ironing board
