“The Occasional Elf”, by Karen Lorraine Design, consists of a three-piece outfit (plus bonus Christmas hat!) designed for fashionable clothing wear, elves and other faeries, and especially for use during holiday occasions. Presenting a false front, the jacket closes simply at the back. Similarly, the pants are also easy-fitting and do not require any elastic at the waistline. They are also a looser fit in the lower leg than leggings or tights. The bonus Christmas hat pattern offers extra charm and possibilities with its cute pompom and flexible hat. Complete the outfit with the cute elf style shoes! This is an easy piece to quickly sew up and will be a fun addition to your doll's holiday wardrobe!
This PDF sewing pattern by Karen Lorraine Design is designed to fit a 6-inch Mini Doll or the Thimbles and Acorns 6" Mini Charlotte Cloth Doll.
The pattern is available separately to fit 18" dolls or Monster High dolls.
Recommended Fabrics: Jacket in light to medium weight woven fabrics such as quilting cotton, gingham, linen, or lawn. Not suitable for knits. Pants in light to medium weight knit fabric such as cotton or cotton blend T-shirt, jersey, or interlock. Hat and Hat Band in lightweight fleece, minky, or faux fur. Shoes in light to medium weight felt.

- Jacket - 8" square of fabric
- Pants - 10" x 5” piece of fabric
- Hat - 6" x 4"” piece of fabric/fleece
- Hat Band - 2” x 7” piece of fabric/fleece
- Shoes - 5” x 3” piece of fabric/felt

Jacket:
- 6” square of tulle cut into four 1” wide strips for facings
- 3” of 1/2" or 3/4” wide hook and loop tape
- 15” of 1/4” - 1/2” wide trim
- Small slider buckle (1/4" or 6mm)
- 5” ribbon the width of the buckle for belt
Shoes:
- 2 small bells, beads, or decorative buttons for the shoe tips
