Don’t know how to sew? No problem! The Liberty Jane No Sew Janes shoe pattern is a fun and easy way to create cute shoes for your 18 inch doll without any sewing!

This version of the popular Janes shoe PDF pattern has been simplified and uses packaged trims for the shoe body. There are so many options of trims to choose from when making these shoes; cotton lace, embroidered trim, or crocheted trim will all work great. You just need a style that is at least 2 inches wide and has a straight edge along the length of the trim. A variety of lightweight woven cotton fabrics can be used for the shoe lining, just a small scrap is needed!

This  PDF shoe pattern works with a combination of the two thicknesses of the Pixie Pack SHAPE 1 pre-cut soles (2mm: WhiteBlackColor 1 or Color 2 - Also 6mm: Black/White ComboGreen/ Purple, or Brown/Tan.) You will need one set of 2mm soles (for the chipboard base) and one set of 6mm soles.

Be sure to follow along with Cinnamon, in the complete step by step tutorial video! You can find it on the Liberty Jane YouTube Channel or watch it here by clicking in the 3rd image to the right. Enjoy!

No Sew Janes

I used the Pixie Pack to make these cute shoes, and found them quick and easy to complete. Instructions are well written and easy to follow. I tried making a 4th pair from some wide woven trim, but they were kind of a disaster … that trim was very loosely woven, and it literally fell apart on the cut edges as soon as I cut it. Might try it again, ironing some lightweight interfacing to the back before I cut it.

No sew shoes

Great! Easy to follow steps. Only issue is that i had to adjust pattern as it was to small for AG . Twicked it, made à few trials... few burned finger tips and it fits! Might of been my fabric choice or cutting of soles. Showed me i can adjust it for my other dolls. 🤗

Fun

This was my first time making doll shoes. Clear and pretty easy directions to follow. The only negative thing is that it would be helpful to have a little more fabric for the shoe soles. The pattern barely fit on the piece of fabric. Also, the fabric for the toe of the shoe was slightly narrower than the pattern. I did check to make sure I had printed the pattern to the right size, and I had. The first pair I made turned out cute. I have two more pairs to make.

Cute pattern

I love the pattern. The only problem I had was the steam a seam not holding. I now put a stitch across the top. I have made 3 pair and all are so cute.
