The skirt front features curved inset pockets with or without topstitching and a working fly closure with topstitching (and stitching guidelines). The back features three styles of traditional patch pockets and a center seam that can be topstitched for added appeal. The skirt offers a flounce ruffle or gathered ruffle finish for a “jazzy” look, or may also be finished as a mini skirt without the ruffle, as shown on the cover.
Customize Your Skirt! The skirt without ruffles will look adorable on your 18” doll, but the ruffle options add ways for you to customize the skirt. For additional interest, try creating a ruffle from lace, tie-dye denim, corduroy, or even a coordinating print fabric. Your doll will be a stand-out wherever she goes.

- New, sharp Size 12/80 or 14/85 needle
- High-quality 40 wt coordinating and contrasting 30 wt thread (for topstitching)
- ½ yd fusible stretch hem tape (generally used for knits)
