More About Laurie and Jen Ashley Designs, (in her own words):I was inspired to sew at a young age by two of my aunts who sewed and crocheted every chance they had. I was impressed by the beautiful things they created for their families and themselves. One aunt taught me the basics of sewing and crocheting and how to sew doll clothes for my Barbie, Skipper, Tammy, and Pepper dolls. By the time I reached my teens, I was making clothes for myself. When my children were growing up, I made most of their dress clothes, some of their play clothes, and most of their Halloween costumes. I made several suits and sailor outfits for my two sons and matching hand smocked dresses for my daughter and her American Girl dolls. I enjoy making doll clothes for my Etsy shop, craft shows, and custom orders. I started publishing patterns with Pixie Faire in 2014. So far, I have a variety of patterns (including sports patterns) inspired by clothing children and teens wear.
