Hi everyone,
On Friday (July 6th) we'll have a free pattern available from Karen Wadsworth the designer behind the popular Forever 18 Inches brand. Help us decide which pattern should be free and be sure to come back on Friday and download your free copy!
More About Karen In Her Own Words: I've always loved dolls. My tenth birthday present from my mother was an honest-to-goodness sewing basket filled to the brim with supplies, and a Barbie pattern. I was in heaven! I sewed throughout my high school years, and then began again when my great nieces received American Girl dolls. My teenage sons were horrified that their mother was playing with dolls. During that time I also discovered Liberty Jane patterns. Wow--stylish, detailed patterns for dolls with fantastic instructions and a beautiful fit! Before I realized what was happening I was designing my own patterns. Partnering with PixieFaire as a seller and designer has been such a fun adventure! I'm grateful to those of you who have become customers and friends along the way. This pattern is my thank you to all of you--enjoy!

More About Each Pattern
Classic Skirt Bundle Designed to Fit 18" Dolls Such as American Girl®: You can make two stylish skirts for your 18" doll with the Classic Skirt Bundle pattern from Forever 18 Inches! This pattern includes instructions for making a trendy faux button front skirt with a fitted yoke and a popular easy paper bag skirt. You can make tons of cute skirts by using a variety of different fabrics and buttons. Your doll will have the perfect skirt to wear with every cute top in her closet!
Geometry Class Dress Designed to Fit Kidz N Cats® Dolls: You don’t have to like math in order to like this pattern! The dress and jumper have been named in honor of the two geometric shapes they use: a square and a circle. The square neck has an inset panel that can be cut on the bias or straight grain, and the closely fitted bodice is attached to a full circle skirt. Two sets of cutting lines have been provided for the Dress and Jumper. As an added bonus, an easy pattern for a circular petticoat with a crunchy tulle hem is also included for an authentic blast to the past!
Infinity Dress Designed To Fit 18 Inch Journey Girls Dolls: Wrap it, tie it, change it! The amazing and versatile Infinity Dress is now available for Journey Girls dolls, with skirt choices available in a short and full length, and an option for using differing fabrics for the bodice and skirt for your own unique designer look. The dress itself is very simple: it’s formed by joining four rectangles of varying sizes together, and sews together quickly. Like the “Big People” version, the straps have an infinite series of possibilities in the way they can be tied to form different looks—hence the name of the dress. It can be worn as a sun dress, party dress, bridesmaid’s dress, or an elegant formal, depending on the fabric, length, and how it’s tied. Make your own version of this PDF pattern, and you’ll have a blast playing with the straps and all their possibilities!
Faux Button Jumper Designed To Fit Hearts For Hearts Girls and Corolle® Les Cherie Dolls: The Faux Button Jumper is a simple pattern with detailing that looks complicated--but isn't! It looks like it has a front placket, but looks can be deceiving. The placket is all show, and the jumper actually has only three main pattern pieces, plus cut strips for Straps and Optional Pockets. Option 1 is an Easy-level project for newer seamstress or those who want quick results (no closures, no lining, no facing, no worries!). Option 2 is slightly more advanced, and is finished with a lining to accommodate lighter-weight fabrics. Either option can be made with or without the optional pockets.

Your one of my favorite designers.
Thank you for the free pattern this week! I missed the voting, but I wanted to say thanks for the pattern! I have other patterns by you and the level of detailed instructions are great. Your styles are also just perfect!
I love the FAUX BUTTON JUMPER, but I do not think it would fit my Springfield dolls.
The skirt bundle is also a good looking pair.
Thank you for making this possible for us. I appreciate it!!! Tremendously!!!!
Thank you Karen for this lovely pattern! and thank you Cinnamon for making all this possible!
They are all so beautiful !!!! I do love the Geometry dress that is just so adorable !!! hard choice
Oh my,,,,I am torn between the Geometry Class Dress & Jumper and the Faux Button Jumper! I love them both but if I have to choose one it would be the Geometry Class Dress & Jumper! Thank you so much for great designing and free pattern. Rosie
Thanks to Pixie Faire and all the designers who so generously share their patterns each Friday – such a fun community activity! And a nice way to have bunches of pattern options!
Karen, I especially love your Geometry Class jumper and the Faux Button jumpers!! Super cute and love them both!!
It’s nice to showcase the smaller dolls, although the AG voting block is so large they always seem to win.
Love the Classic Skirt Bundle.
Thanks for sharing such darling patterns!
All us older girls still love our Dolls and making the clothes!
Hi, I really like the Geometry Class dress. That is a pattern style I don’t have. I didn’t vote for the skirts because I can make them without a pattern. Thank you for this free pattern it is very nice to share your patterns with others. It is a plus for your website and will keep costumers coming back for more! You have really nice patterns!
Oh I so love the geometry dress I so hope it wins but doesn’t look promising. Please everyone vote for this one.
faux button jumper
Thanks Karen and Cinnamon! I voted for the Faux Button Jumper for the smaller girls. I love all your designs.
Karen, your designs have that little extra something which makes them so stylish yet timeless. I have a few of your patterns already, and several more on my wishlist.
Thank you for this generous offer.
Karen, thank you so much for the free pattern choice! This week’s pattern will be challenging for me to pick.
I like the infinity pattern for Journey Girls. I already have lots of American Girl patterns, but only one Journey Girl pattern.
Someone asked about the differences between American Girl and Kidz N Cats. My Kidz N Cats and Carpatina dolls are much slimmer. There is a comparison chart on this website under doll measurements: https://www.pixiefaire.com/blogs/doll-tips-and-tutorials/7733479-doll-measurements
What a tough choice this week. I voted for the classic skirt bundle. The blue skirt with the stripes at a 90 degree angle down the front from the bodice is very classy. Thanks for the fun Friday voting. I look forward to it every week.
They are all so cute but I only have Maplelea dolls (18") so my choices are smaller, but it’s still tough. I like them both but I think I’ll vote for the Geometry Class Dress because it’s so different.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful creations. I am hoping for the classic skirt bundle as I have had it on my wish list forever. Thank you Freebie Friday!
Thank you for offering the wonderful patterns. Nice to be able to choose between the different size dolls.
Thank you for sharing
I voted for the faux button jumper. I would love to have some patterns for different size dolls. Thanks for offering these.
Thanks so much, you are one of my favorite designers 💕
We’re all so fortunate to have talented designers give away free patterns!! As far as sizing goes I found this pin on Pinterest that shows at a glance the similarities & differencesWhat do you think? https://pin.it/jg3frdedrzw77u
Hi Everyone Thank you Karen for the cute patterns this week, I loved the Geometry dress but my granddaughters don’t have that doll so I voted for the skirt bundle. Wondering if anyone can tell me the difference between AG dolls and Kids & Cats dolls? They look like the same to me in the pictures. Have a great sewing day.
Thank you for the wonderful patterns. Making doll clothes is SEW much fun.
Thanks, Karen, for the great patterns! I voted for the skirt bundle.
Skirt Bundle please! Thanks for such great choices, they are all so cute but presently I only have American Girl. Thanks Pixie Faire!!
I
have the top, now hopefully i will get the skirts. Just love them! Classic bundle got my vote.
I’ve chosen the Classic Skirt Bundle this week. All of your patterns this week are really cute, but alas, they won’t fit my dolls. Thank you, Karen and Cinnamon, for offering such wonderful choices.
I wish they were all for the 18" dolls, but, since they are not , my vote goes to Classic skirts.
Karen, when you have Infinity and Geometry Class patterns for 18’ dolls aI want to order those also, Thank you for the freebies,
I adore the Geometry dress, but I don’t have a Kidz n Cats doll. 😞 So I voted for the very useful skirts combo pattern. I know I’ll get a lot of good outfits from it.
Oh, now I wish I had a Kidz’n Cats Doll ;D. They all are so pretty. I go for the CLASSIC SKIRT pattern. It’s so lovely! thank you for these gorgeous patterns!
je vote pour Geometry Class Dress For Kidz N Cats Dolls très rare les modèles pour les kidz

I am sure youll see my name again, as i love pixie faire and buy as often as i am able.
Thank you, Karen for your generosity! I voted for the skirt bundle as my granddaughters have AG dolls but not the others. I love all these patterns
Karen…Thank you so much for the free pattern! I am a big fan of your designs!
Thank you Karen or the patterns. I voted for the skirt bundle. All the patterns are lovely.
Thanks, Karen, I don’t have this one! Very pretty skirts!
The Infinity Dress for Journey Girls please! I have so few patterns that are made for them. Thank you Karen—I love your pattern line and own a number of them. I love the Geometry Class Dress/Jumper as it’s so cute for summer and winter!
Thank you so much Karen, all of your patterns are gorgeous and I would love to have them all. I voted for the KNC pattern.
I vote for the skirt bundle for AG Doll. I don’t sew for the other dolls.
I vote for the skirt bundle for AG Doll. I don’t sew for the other dolls.
What great designs! I voted for the skirt bundle, but the patterns all look amazing. I also really liked your introduction, Karen – it made it clear that not only are you a talented designer, you also have a great sense of humor! Thanks for offering a generous freebie :)
Thanks for the great patterns offerings. They’re all great. .
Thank you for cute patterns. I’m voting for the skirt bundle for AG girls. That’s what I sew for
Thank you for the superb pattern offers Karen. I was stuck between the geometry dress & faux button jumper for a while so flipped a coin. I’ll be very happy whichever one of these lovely patterns wins.
Love them all thanks Karen . I’m voting for the skirt bundle as I sew for AG dolls
I really like the classic skirt patterns.
I voted for the Infinity Dress for the JG dolls. Thank you, Karen, for sharing these awesome pattern choices with us this week. I’ve had a couple of these on my wish list for a while, so whichever one wins will be awesome.
Skirt bundle for me…I don’t have any of the other dolls. Thanks
Thank you for the free pattern! I chose the skirt bundle, but all of them are very cute!
I really like the classic skirt patterns.
I love the geometry dress however I have an 18 in. doll, if it ill not fit my doll but I will still stay with it and hope that you do the pattern for the 18 in. doll in the near future.
Thank you SO much, Karen.
Your patterns are all so awesome.
I voted for the skirt bundle because I have an 18" doll, but they are all great.
I love the patterns I have that you designed. You are very talented.
Happy 4th! The options are so cute this week, I am still deciding. Thank you so much!!
Love the geometry dress… but wish it was sized for AG dolls. Is it easy to convert the size?
I voted for the skirt bundle because I only have 18" dolls. But that Geometry dress really makes me think about getting another doll just for that dress; so cute!!
Geometry was the only math I could understand! 😂
The skirt bundle. It was do hard to chose just one.
All designs are great.
Love, love, love the skirt bundle. Thank you for all the wonderful pattern choices!
Very nice selection which made it so hard to choose! Thank you for being so generous with your designs. Love all your patterns.
Love your patterns, Karen, especially the dress and jumper! Thanks! Maureen
Faux Button Jumper is such a cute pattern. Thanks for letting us choose!
Thanks, Karen and Cinnamon! I vote for the Geometry Class! It would be so nice for people who sew for other dolls than AG dolls to have a free pattern for their dolls too. So in that hope I voted for the one that was KNC size. All the patterns are gorgeous though so many thanks
I voted for the American Girl skirts, thank you Karen and Pixie Faire for cute choices.
Thanks again for another free pattern. They are all adorable. My vote went to the Classic Skirt Bundle as I feel I can also alter it to fit the other dolls I have.
Love them all. Thanks so much for offering these free patterns! I voted for the infinity dress and can always alter it slightly for an AG doll…..
I wish all of the patterns would fit the 18" AM doll since that’s the only doll I have. I love the jumper patterns, but have to vote for the skirt bundle. Thank you!
Thank you Karen for the free pattern! Your designs always fit well. I voted for the skirt bundle; so cute!
Karen thanks so much for the great choices this week. Couldn’t resist the skirt bundle so that got my vote. I love your patterns by the way, they always fit so well.
Such a hard choice this week but I finally decided on the Geometry Class dress. Thank you,
I really like the skirt patterns. There are adorable though.
Love all your pattern’s. Thanks for the free dress pattern. My granddaughters love when I sew for their dolls. Thanks again.
Thank you. All the patterns are cute.
The infinity dress sure looks interesting..& gets my vote
Thank you Karen for the interesting choice of patterns
Thank you for sharing your cute patterns. I voted for the 18” doll skirt pattern
I sew only for the American Girl 18" and Wellie Wishers dolls. I already have the Classic Skirt Bundle, so voted for the Faux Button Jumper hoping it will fit Wellie.
Thank you so much Forever 18 Inches!
Next week Can I recommend a pattern such as a shoes pattern, shorts, or a crop top for 18" dolls?
I will go with Geometry Class dress.
Thank you. I voted for the multi-skirt pattern.
Sandy
These are all beautiful. I sew for AG, but I am taking a risk voting on the infinity dress since the sizes are similar. It is stunning. Thank you!
Karen, thank you for sharing your patterns. I voted for the KNC Geometry Class Dress – and i put it on my wish list just in case – and i will be searching for a KNC doll!
Wow, these are lovely but I am going to vote for the Geometry Class dress & jumper- I think it give the most options. Thank you so much for sharing you talent Karen
Classic Skirt bundle for me! Thank you so much for Freebie Fridays! Much appreciated!
i love all of the patterns
I love all the designs, but I only sew for American Girl dolls, so the other sizes are not appropriate for me. If the other designs were in the AG size, the choice would be very hard.
Thank you for your generosity. I love all your patterns.
I love the faux button jumper outfit because you can interchange with a variety of a lot of different colors and material.
Thank you! Your patterns rock!
I’m going for the skirt bundle because I don’t have a kids and cats doll and I already purchased the infinity pattern. Still haven’t found the right fabric yet, though.
Thanks again for the free pattern to add to my collection! I sew only for 18 in. American girl dolls hence my vote went for the skirt bundle.
The skirt bundle is so cute, I especially love the blue one. Is there also a pattern to make the top that it shows with the blue skirt? Love it as well.
As always, you really are doing a great job!
Thank you Karen for the free pattern ! All the choices are adorable ,I love your patterns.
