The Melody Valerie Couture Lily Of The Valley Dress For 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl:Treat your doll to this unique blend of corners and curves — from the box pleats to the sinuous yoke sections, Lily of the Valley is a frock for the doll who likes a bit of spice in her wardrobe. It’s hard to beat a classic ribbon bow, though; and when you pair it with some fabulous buttons, chances are you’ve got a dress your doll will turn to time and again. The Lily of the Valley PDF Dress Pattern was engineered for the cleanest, smoothest finish possible — despite the six sloping pleats, which begin lower in front than in back for the most flattering line, the skirt has a minimum of seams. A partial lining floats down from the neckline to just below the waist, while strips of self-fabric bind the armholes. The dress closes up the back with an invisible zipper. This dress works well in a fine-wale corduroy, but you could also use a lightweight wool or a fun printed cotton. We suggest a lightweight polyester, rayon, or cotton muslin for the lining.

I love all the patterns and would enjoy any of them. I voted for the Lily Of The Valley dress it is absolutely beautiful. As for the idea of each one of us making a purse I think it’s fabulous. I have made one and am working on a second one, it wasn’t very difficult so don’t worry. It is a great feeling making something that you know will mean so much to someone else. :)

I love the Lily of the Valley dress very much and all of it’s details in the ensemble. My Westie is named Lilly and I call her “Lilly of the Valley”, so I am partial to this dress. I also love green as well for Summer time. It is such a natural color. Looks great on this doll. Well done. Looks Realistic too.

First, I have everything (or similar) of everything except the Lily of the Valley Dress. That being said, I find myself imagining the variations and combinations that I could come up with using the dress pattern. So, I voted for the dress pattern, not only because I have the rest but because the Lily of the Valley Dress pattern sparks my imagination. I love the Summer Skirt pattern! So cute! Though I’ve sewn for 55 years, I still prefer an easier pattern now and then for a quick cute outfit—and also for all those out there who are just learning to sew. I love to see the younger women and even girls sewing so it doesn’t become yet another dying art. So, summer skirt pattern this time for me! I got the purse pattern last year, then never got it done, but this year I’m going to commit to sewing at least a couple.

While I like Melody Valerie as a designer, I don’t like her Lily of the Valley dress pattern. Look at all of that cloth body of the doll showing. I have chosen the summer skirt. Yet I am thinking the dress showing off the doll’s cloth body will win.
