My favorite fashion era is Samantha’s. I would like to see a historical pattern offered for a not rich girl of that era.

My favorite fashion era is probably the 1800s for the variety. I’m going to pick the 1830’s because we don’t see lots of outfits from that time. Look for The Wonderful Fashion Doll by Laura Bannon, a children’s book I first saw when it was nearly new, in 1953.
I love the fashions for the by gone eras but It seems to me that the little girls I make the clothes for are looking for things they know about….not history….so a general mix is good. My favorite would use fancy lace and trims…Little girls seem to like embellishments….thanks for the opportunity to win the sweet outfits….

My favorite fashion period is the colonial era. I love the costumes worn on Outlander, Poldark and TURN! I have made a number of doll dresses from this era and I would love a pattern to make a bum roll and a fichu.

I love history! It would be hard for me to choose just one era but if I had to do it, I would say the Elizabethan age and Shakespeare’s costumes. I am a retired English teacher. LOL

I love the way clothing tells much about the historical times and events that were happening, so no specific period really is the best. I love to see videos of specific details as that is how I tend to learn best. thank you for your give away.

The 60s/70s! The suits. Jackie O! Men still wore suits to baseball games. But the fun clothes were bell bottoms and leather fringed purses. Peace signs and tie dye. Layered tees over long sleeves. The list could go on and on….
My favorite fashion era is the early 1900’s. I love all the little details and trimmings that made even the simplest dresses an elegant work of art. I also like the medieval period and would love to see more patterns from this era. The richly colored fabrics are so luxurious.

My favorite fashion era is the later Victorian era. I have my Grandmother’s beautiful wedding dress that was handmade in this style. It was in such good condition that my sister wore it in her wedding in the ’80s. I think this type of dress would be a very popular pattern should it be developed for the American Doll wardrobe.
