I like all the historical costumes but am probably the most likely to sew depression era clothes because they seem simple enough!
My favourite era is modern day.

My favorite era of clothing and fashion to make would probably be the regency or Victorian period. I enjoy making all the historical clothing though. I would love to see more fashions for the 1920-1940’s.
My favorite time period is 1940 – 1950. I would like to see more patterns with lace and ruffles with fitted top and flouncy skirts.
Hmmm I am not sure I have a favorite I find I do like a lot of clothes from the 20’s & 30’s . i would love to see anything new from all these impressive sewing artists!

1850’s to 1870’s for sure! Love the style of the civil war and pioneer era.

My favourite era is Regency and I would love to see a riding habit. There is a brilliant description of one in Georgette Heyer’s book the Grand Sophie, probably based on the Glengarry habit. I’m trying it but a pattern would be marvellous.
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the 19th century. I’d love to see a pattern associated with a specific historic figure, like the Sarah Hale pattern.

I love historical clothing all eras but I think todays little girls mostly prefer modern clothes like they would. wear themselves. So mostly I sew them modern clothes but occasionally do a historical outfit for my own satisfaction and pleasure in seeing how it makes up.

I don’t know if I have a specific era. The clothes that sell the most are one from now…as I use primarily recycled fabrics..the young ones often find something exactly like they are wearing. I had been watching for winter wear but finally drafted my own patterns. They turned out well if I do say so myself.

Wow! I think my favorite clothing period is the 50 & 60’s but I have to add, I like sewing PJ’s, nitegowns and formals. Recently enjoyed making some capes and coats. Using up all of MY MATERIAL and stash plus occasional trips to JOANN FABRICS for fill in on colors or fabric. It is MEANINGFUL and fun to let my MEMORY wander to the days I grew up in and MATURED..MENDING is not high on my sewing list. M words are MY, MATERIAL, MEANINGUL, MEMORIY, MENDING, AND MATURED.

My favorite era of clothing and fashion is hard to choose. I would like to see more Civil War era dresses for girls and older, with all the under-garments. But I love the Victorian era too with all the trims and ruffles. 1910-1920 for Votes for Women and to represent my grandmothers. The 1950’s were so cute with the dresses and play clothes. I never wore jeans growing up. My mother didn’t like them so we wore Pedal Pushers and shorts and play dresses. Wool coats and corduroy pants in the winter. In the long run, if I like the pattern and the era, I will eventually buy the pattern.

I like all the eras but think the versatility of our modern day fashions with all the options for self expression may be best. Even so, the pattern I would like to see is from the Williamsburg Colonial era: this versatile piece served as apron, shawl, bag for produce from the garden, head protection, etc. Docents at Old Williamsburg in Virginia used to wear these back in the 70s – maybe still do.

I like to make contemporary doll clothes. My granddaughter enjoys having play clothes, nightgowns, skirts, Halloween style costumes, and dresses for her dolls.

My favorite era of clothing I think would be todays fashions. The little girls today should be inspired to be who ever they want to be if they work hard. To be able to see what they can become in the world, if given an opportunity. Just look. We will be having our first woman Vice President of the United States. Who is also Black and Indian. Strive for the stars and justice and opportunity for all.

My favorite era of clothing is the Georgian through the Victorian time frame. I’d love to see more patterns for girls and boys depicting the lavish dress of this time.
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is really hard to pinpoint. I am so intrigued by many different Fashions from different eras. Little girl dolls are my favorite, and I tend to like clothes that seem to passed the test of time, except for maybe the hemline going up and down. To me there is nothing more precious than a little girl in a twirly dress! It might be fun to see patterns for clothes of child stars throughout the different eras. Shirley Temple is a common favorite, of course, but perhaps there are others that would be fun to see patterns for, perhaps from specific movie’s. I love my Ruby Red Fashion Friend doll and would love to see more patterns for her! I do not have a Girl For All Time doll yet, but I sure would love to have one! I am sure she would be really fun to make clothes for. I am a sucker for sweater sets and cardigans over jumpers are sleeveless dresses. I am always on the lookout for these patterns.
I suppose my favorite era is Victorian. I would love to see a pattern bundle for a steampunk costume with a top hat and goggles, and maybe some hacks for accessories.

My favorite era of clothing and fashion has to be the 1930s. I loved the This Man series with Myrna Loy and her beautiful wardrobe. The children in their rough and tumble outdoor clothes or dressed up in their good clothes were also so cute as in the Our Gang series.

My favorite era of fashion for sewing doll clothing is the forties and fifties, the era in which I grew up. I would love to see a pattern for a fleecy " topper" like the one I had in the early fifties.
