My favorite sewing tip is when sewing for dolls, dial your stitch length to 20 or more stitches per inch. You will have much more control over the little pieces and this works very well for necklines and collars. Much smoother results.
Looking good!
I am just getting started in making these doll clothes for my granddaughter, so I don’t have any tips at this time. I am just ready to get started on a wardrobe for her.

My favorite sewing tip or trick is not really a trick , read the instructions and study the layout for the pattern. Be sure to snip around curves so that the fabric will lie smooth when turned.
So many wonderful tips – thank you again Cinnamon for your generosity & allowing us to share such useful info. My tip is like many I like to pre-cut projects & place in zip bags thinking I would know EXACTLY which project it was – Ha! Now I use the snipping tool, pull up the pdf of the pattern & snip the picture, copy & paste in a blank word doc then type the name of the project. I fill up a whole page with different projects then cut them apart and place the corresponding one in the zip bag with the fabric. When I have completed the project the little snipped pics go back with the original pattern. I hope you can understand what I am doing it sounds more complicated than it is. You could also do copy & paste then trim off parts of the pics you don’t need. Happy Sewing!

I always keep felt square on hand to make a quick gift .from doll jumper, shoes. Or boys balls, small stuff animals … its fun creating a gift fora child.
My favorite tip is for doll clothes is to always line them with plain white fabric to avoid dye transfer that can damage the dolls “skin”. Also always pre-wash the fabrics to preshrink and release any “loose” dye in the textile.
My favorite sewing tip or trick is my seam ripper which serves me in many ways besides pulling stitches out.
my tip is if you use wonder clips and run out or need a cheaper alternative, you can use those metal hair clips that ‘snap’ when bent to open and close. Can buy them in bulk for next to nothing and hold patterns or fabrics together nicely and you just slid them off as you are sewing. (Hope that all made sense lol)
My favorite sewing tip is: think outside of the box! For example, if you want to make your doll’s blue jeans look worn, judiciously rub a bleach pen along the fold lines where jeans crease when you sit down.

My tip is to use the “Purple Thing” to turn corners works really on doll clothes!!!

My favorite sewing tip is its not necessary to following directions religious. Sometimes there’s a simpler and easier way:)
Like a few others have said, my favorite sewing tip is to shop thrift stores for fabric, notions, trims and garments to upcycle. When making period specific doll clothes, it is so fun to have actual fabric from that decade, plus I always have something to sew for pennies on the dollar!
My favorite sewing tip is to use 1/8" double sided tape to apply narrow velcro on doll clothes. Add the tape to top or blouse, remove paper from top of tape, put velcro on top and sew. Keeps it from moving and you don’t need pins to hold in place.

My favorite sewing tip (that I’ve learned) is to take a hammer to denim seams before you sew over them. Really give the seam a smashing – it makes the sewing sooo much easier.
My favorite tip would be to enjoy what you do and buy fabrics, notions, and other findings on sale then it isn’t so costly to sew.
