The Ultimate Pattern Collection for Ruby Red Fashion Friends™
The Pixie Faire Pattern Collection for Ruby Red Fashion Friends™ is growing nearly everyday! Some great patterns have already been released that are designed specifically to fit this great doll. The great thing about these dolls is that they can also wear the many of the clothing patterns designed for Wellies. As discussed in the section below, the RRFF is close in size to other 14-14.5-inch dolls such as WellieWishers™, so some patterns designed to fit WW are also a great fit for Ruby Red dolls as well.
Get the Pattern: Shown above modeled by Ruby Red Fashion Friends™ Bella, the Sew Urban ruffled top doll clothes PDF pattern will add a touch of femininity to her wardrobe! The cascading ruffles are the star of the show with this easy to sew design! This cute top can be made with or without sleeves and closes in the back with hook and loop tape. It can be made with a knit or woven fabric (floral top is a woven). This pattern is designed to also fit 14.5-inch dolls such as WellieWishers™ and Hearts For Hearts Girls®, and also fits Ruby Red Fashion Friends™ dolls without any alterations.

Ruby Red Fashion Friends™ Compared To Similar Dolls
Customers have found that RRFF dolls vary slightly in height which is likely due to variation in how tightly their joints have been strung together, as they are a BJD (Ball Jointed Doll). The official height of the Ruby Red doll is 14.5-inches tall, but may vary to around 15-inches depending on the doll. The picture above demonstrates that our Ruby Red doll is about 1/2-inch taller than our 14.5-inch WellieWishers™ doll to her left. In the photo, all three dolls are wearing Gotchies from the 123 Mulberry St. pattern designed to fit 14 to 14.5-inch dolls, which demonstrates that while the dolls are all similar in size, there are some key differences in their proportions.
Comparing the three dolls, the RRFF has the longest legs and arms, and a slightly wider waist and hip measurement. When sewing or buying clothes for the RRFF, it is helpful to know that knit tops or dresses designed to fit WellieWishers™ generally fit the RRFF because they have a bit of stretch. The only caveat is that long sleeves designed for a WW fit the RRFF more like a 3/4-length sleeve. Skirt hems will also fall a bit shorter on the RRFF, but are generally still an appropriate length for the doll depending on the design and length preference. More fitted garments made from non-stretch woven fabrics are more likely to have fit issues unless they are designed specifically to fit a Ruby Red doll.
Wondering What Shoes Will Fit A Ruby Red Fashion Friends™ Doll?
The Ruby Red Fashion Friends™ doll has a long narrow foot, with a tiny space in between her big toe second toe, allowing her to potentially wear flip flops! Yay! Although, her foot is a tiny bit longer than a Hearts for Hearts Girls doll, she can wear the HFHG shoes. We've tried on the little plastic flats that come with a HFHG doll and they fit great. We've also tried on the Liberty Jane Janes (designed for HFHG dolls with the Shape 2 sole) and they fit nicely.
The Ruby Red Fashion Friends doll pictured above is wearing, from left to right, The Genoa Jumper over the T-shirt with HFHG flats, The Sew Urban Ruffled Tee and LJ 14.5" Dolls Jeans (made with super stretchy upcycled denim) and the LJ Janes For HFHG dolls, and finally, the Karen Lorraine Lux Cardigan over the basic t-shirt and the Sew Urban Handkerchief Skirt (all designed originally for 14.5" WW dolls).
As you can see in the photos above and below, the WellieWisher has a much shorter and wider foot so shoes designed for Wellies are very hard to get on, although we've managed to get a few on. The pink tennies in the first image of this post are sold by Sofia's and desiged to fit a Wellie. They are super snug, but work in a pinch.
The Shape 2 pre-cut shoe sole and the patterns designed to be made with that sole shape should fit the Ruby Red Fashion Friends™ doll. The sole measures 2.2" in length and the RRFF doll foot measures 2" from the heel to the tallest part.

Love these dolls. They are so cute. Different than all the others. Their faces are wonderful. I love them all. I am a tad partial to Ssra and Bella. I would be happy with any of them to tell you the truth. They are beautiful! Thank you Pixiefaire.
