About Our Generation®
Our Generation® dolls are made by Battat, a family-run toy business who designs the dolls and accessories in the U.S. and Canada, and manufactures them in China. Our Generation® dolls are affordable, are packaged with recycled and recyclable materials, and prioritize high standards of employee health and safety throughout their manufacturing process. You may have seen them on the shelves of your local Target store, which is their largest brick-and-mortar retail supplier. While their dolls are a great affordable option comparable to an 18-inch American Girl® doll, they also offer a wide variety of accessories like doll-sized cars, scooters, and horses.
Our Generation® Doll Features
The Ultimate Pattern Collection for Our Generation® Dolls
Our Generation® dolls are very similar in size to other 18-inch dolls such as American Girl®, and the patterns in our 18-inch Doll Clothes collection are designed to fit them well. The pattern collection includes step-by-step instructions for making almost anything you can imagine for your 18-inch doll such as Our Generation®, from historical gowns to contemporary coats to sweet pajamas.

Have fun using a variety of knit fabrics or even your outgrown tees upcycled to make adorable doll clothes!
Our Generation® Measurements
Our Generation® dolls are 18-inches tall, making them comparable to American Girl® dolls. The two brands of dolls have very similar bodies, and are pictured above in 123 Mulberry Street Gotchies both made from the same size pattern in order to show the similarities and differences in their proportions. The side-by-side comparison demonstrates that the Our Generation® doll has slightly smaller shoulders than the AG doll, who has a bit broader shoulders. The American Girl® doll also has a slightly longer torso than the OG doll. These differences between the two dolls mean that while most patterns and clothes made to fit 18-inch dolls should fit both dolls well, some slight adjustments may need to be made around the bodice of tailored garments to be sure that pieces fit the Our Generation® doll just right.

They are all cute, but as an ex-teacher, I just had to get Emmeline the student with books and other desk accessories. But I’d also would love to get a Rayna with dark hair and loves sports just like my daughter and my grand-daughter. Besides, I love that Our Generation dolls are created and made in Canada, not overseas. And they are more affordable than AG dolls also cute and well made, but very expensive.
My favorite doll is Florence, because of those wild curls!
I like Joy and Terry. Joy reminds me of my sister whIle Terry reminds me of me. We are both baby boomers so the vintage theme suits us.
I like Rayna! Love her dark hair and that she loves to cook, just like my daughter. She is different from the other dolls she has already.
I like Paloma in her vet outfit. I also like the pretty flower in Ayla’s hair.
My favorite OG doll is not shown here but her name is April. She has red hair and wears glasses.
This past Christmas I was amazed at the number of new OG dolls that were available with new face molds and ended up buying 5 of them to donate to Toys For Tots. I am sure 5 little girls were thrilled when they woke up Christmas morning.
I have Coral, I like that she is a surfer. Now her and Joss can surf together.
I love the Ayla doll. Her long auburn hair looks so much like my granddaughter who is also very artistic and creative, with a vivid imagination.
Terry is my favorite as I enjoy playing piano also.

Coral is my favorite because she is ready for summer and so am I.
I like Paloma. I have only one OG, Retro Rose, whom I love. But, they are still way off AG. I do use my AG patterns for OG – just make small adjustment at the neckline to make it smaller and add back on the sides. They are very similar to AG but OG’s shoulders are quite a lot narrower.
I like the Rayna doll the best we were raised by country families. So I like the country and older outfits better.
