**UPDATE: Super thank you to everyone who entered our giveaway! The winner is # 2, Jessica, who said "My favorite Easter tradition is sitting down for a nice easter meal with my family. Everyone dressed in their Easter best. Love it!" Thanks Jessica! We'll be in touch via email soon!
Does your doll still need an Easter basket? With just some felt scraps and a little hand-sewing know-how, it's easy to whip up one of these little baskets.
I'm using embroidery floss, two colors of felt, and some fun narrow ribbon.
Start by cutting two circles out of felt: a big one about 4 1/2" across, and a smaller one for the base of the basket, about 1 1/2" across. Stack the two circles on top of each other, making sure to center them, and sew them together with a running stitch.
Cut some wedges out of the big circle! Try to keep them all about the same size.
Next, whipstitch the slits closed, to make the sides of the basket.
Sew on a ribbon handle (I made this one by braiding some narrow ribbon, but you could just as easily use a single ribbon.)
Finally, fill your new basket with some fun Easter goodies, and give it to your doll!
Now: would you like to win this Easter basket, instead of having to make it? How cool would that be?
To enter, just leave a comment on this post, finishing this sentence: "My favorite Easter tradition is..."
We'll randomly pick a winning comment on Monday, 4/21, and contact the winner via email. It's that simple!!
Thanks, and have fun crafting and entering!

My favorite Easter tradition is going to church on Easter Sunday (and every other Sunday!)
My favorite easter tradition is chocolate. :-)
So many traditions –
As a child I always remember my English grandmother’s yeast Hot Cross buns. As parents and grandparents, we hide Easter baskets and always have an Easter egg hunt in the backyard (repeated several times). After various church services we have a dinner of ham, scrambled egg casserole, asparagus, Danish puff, and strawberries. Plus, Dove dark chocolate eggs and Jordan almonds.
Over the years I have sewn and collected about 30 Easter bunnies of all sizes. I place them
around the house on tables and in windows and ask my grandchildren to find and count them. They all come back with a different answers and have lots of fun talking about the bunnies that are well hidden, what is new that year and their favourites. I give them each one to take home, with a plan to make or buy a few more for the next year.
This turned out very cute! Thanks for the tutorial.
My favorite Easter tradition is dressing up, going to church and eating an Easter feast with my family
The whole day, from early morning new baskets, thru the joyous songs at the community service ,then a short nap followed by lunch and games till we have our Easter Egg Hunt thru the whole yard and some on the porch,AND Then our yummy dinner (even the veggies—-Nana’s speshuls—-go with the super good sweet potatoes all covered with a thin top of marshmallows! So, the Whole Easter Day is my full of every-time facorites!
My favorite Easter tradition, besides finding what the Easter Bunny had left, was my Mom’s Easter cake for dessert after dinner. She always made a white cake with my favorite cooked, fluffy white icing. On top she would tint coconut green and make a nest with colored jelly beans. I know this isn’t so original now, but as a child I was very excited & thought she was a genius! To this day, white cake with the cooked white, fluffy icing is my favorite!
My favorite Easter Tradition as a child was putting on our Easter Outfits with Spring coat and hat with new white shoes and going to church.

My favorite Easter tradition is egg hunts, both indoor and outdoor, but especially outdoor on a beautiful spring day.
My favorite tradition is the whole family meeting for Sunrise service and then out for breakfast. Everyone goes home to change clothes and then we all meet up again in the afternoon for a big family Easter dinner and more fellowship together. To me this is the best way to celebrate Jesus’ Resurrection.
Congrats Jessica! I am just logging into this tutorial now, almost 2 years later, but I am here! Annette
My favorite Easter tradition was, as my children are grown now with families of their own, we would hide their eggs, sometimes in the yard, sometimes in the house and when they found them all, they would hide them for us, the parents, to find but we always would count them first :)

Cool art ( and cool sewing )
My favorite Easter tradition is having all the children sit on the stairs while daddy checked to make sure the Easter Bunny had left, but really he was setting up the camera. Then he told us he had gone and had left some wonderful goodies for us. They would squeal with delight as they ran to the dining room to see their baskets. These years seem to have gone by much too quickly, but they were very memorable and this was a tradition that was followed in my family.
