or fill in the blank "My biggest sewing challenge is______"
I haven’t worked with faux fur since my children were young and that was for making teddy bears. My “baby” is now 40 so it’s time to have some fun, playing with faux fur in a different genre!
Finding the “just perfect “ pattern for what I have in mind
My biggest challenge is getting my sewing area ready to be used.
My biggest challenge is not having the stamina that I used to and arthritic hands.
My biggest sewing challenge is how to adjust the tension on my Baby Lock.
My biggest sewing challenge is organizing my fabric types. I have organized all types by color but now I think for the New Year I might organize by type and see if that is more beneficial.
My biggest challenge is working with small patterns because of arthritis in my fingers! It just takes me a little longer😊
I’ve already stated that time is my challenge, but I also am sssooooo slow! I want everything to look professional, detailed, couture! and it takes me so long to accomplish that! I AM most every time, satisfied with my outcome, but it just takes me so long. 🤷♀️
Finding time to sew is my problem!
My biggest sewing challenge is finding enough time to do all the sewing I want to.
My biggest sewing challenge is setting aside the time (enough time) to finish any project I want to start.
My biggest sewing challenge is cutting evenly and making things line up perfectly
Finding the right sources for the fabric and materials I need…especially for boots and accessories.
My biggest sewing challenge is putting small pieces together without getting them caught in the feed dogs.
I would love to see more videos on hand sewing tips and tricks. For example, how to create a smooth neckline or armhole without it bunching up. Or show a set of sewing stitches one can do when sewing by hand. As someone who doesn’t own or have access to a sewing machine, this would really help with my sewing.
Love how well documented the instructions are!
My biggest sewing challenge is how to use other machine stitches besides straight and zigzag!
Love some pof the patterns that i used valvet fabric. the clips ate great for sewing silk and valvet. Have a good sewing day.
My biggest sewing challenge is finishing what I start.
So many patterns,so little time!
My biggest sewing challenge is getting all the buttonholes even on a a small grament.
Thanks for the giveaway
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing buttonholes to make them all the same size.
My biggest challenge is making time for sewing/crafting.
My biggest challenge is sewing knit fabric.
Thank you for all the beautiful patterns and efforts the designers have put into the instructions and photos, so we can follow along while sewing them.
The more patterns I see the more I want to do, but life is too busy!
My biggest challenge is keeping rounded seams nice and curved.
PS I like your system of hanging leather-like fabrics. I would never have thought
of that. Thank you.
Never ever enough time to sew!!!!
My biggest sewing challenge is not spending all day at my machine.
My biggest challenge is sewing with faux leather.
My biggest sewing challenge is getting everything done that I want to get done. There is never enough time to get all my ideas into an actual sewn outfit for my dolls!
Time. Too many people want me to make things for them or repair hems’ zippers, etc. Got to learn to say NO more, so I can sew for myself.
Biggest challenge is time to sew
my biggest challenge is working with stretchy material
My biggest sewing challenge is having enough room to spread out all the fabric I want to work on.
One of my biggest challenge is getting shoes to fit right, especially the cowboy boots.
My biggest sewing challenge is time. I work 12 hour shift and on my days off I have so much to catch up on I never have time to sew.
My biggest sewing challenge is hand and wrist pain interfering with my sewing recently.
I would like to see a tutorial on how tp adapt a bodice pattern to fit a smakker size doll.

My biggest challenge is focus
I am really enjoying the historical patterns
I love the technique with the shirring.I really have to try this!!!!
My biggest sewing challenge is arthritis and trigger fingers on both hands. Getting old is not easy! Sewing very small things is becoming more and more challenging.
My biggest sewing challenge is not being able to do as nice sewing work as I used to be able to do. My hands aren’t as steady and my eyes are not as good, either. I love sewing for my great granddaughter’s dolls.
My biggest challenge is sewing fine fabrics.
I would like to make patterns of past eras.

My biggest challenge is finding fabric so thankful for SWC pixie pack
My biggest challenge is organizing the time and space to sew.
My challenge is to set aside a day and time to make my projects.
I would like to see tutorials on things like setting sleeves
My biggest sewing challenge is organizing my sewing space. From all my fabric, notions, patterns and books to tools and furniture ie. Cutting table, sewing counter and machines, and ironing station plus computer area with printer and TV. I have a very small room. Barely 10 × 10.
Just watched the elastic video and was surprised how easy it looked to add shirring to a garment. Couldn’t comment on the video, but this is something I plan to try.
The November Upcycling—A Dollhouse with Shari sounds very interesting.
My biggest sewing challenge is working on the stretch faux leather fabric.
I need to MAKE time for my sewing and Art, but 24 hours in a day doesn’t seem to be enough!
My biggest sewing challenge is…. I was going to say sewing zippers, because even with tricks I still have trouble sewing them straight. I do agree with some of the other responses as well… having the time and energy to sew is also a big challenge. Possibly also being a bit of a perfectionist and seeing all my errors and feeling nothing I do is good enough.
My biggest challenge is following a Video and trying to sew at the same time. Does not work to good for me.
My biggest challenge is deciding what to sew! There are so many great patterns, and not ever enough time to make them all. One day my list of patterns that I wish to create will be too long to even read :)
I’m going to try my hand at shirring! I’ve always loved the look of a shirred bodice but I was under the impression that you used the elastic thread as the spool, rather than the bobbin thread and I could never get the stuff through the eye of my needle. The only thing I was unhappy about was that she was supposed to give a tip about top-loading bobbins (which I have) and I couldn’t find it.
Shoes- I have the patterns, videos, and Pixie soles, but I just can’t get started.
Shoes- I have the patterns, videos, and Pixie soles, but I just can’t get started.

My biggest sewing challenge is making the time to sew on a regular basis and organizing my sewing space — it’s a mess!
My biggest challenge is deciding what to make next and time management. So many doll patterns, so little time. I want to do them all. I love your patterns and the step by step instructions make them easy to follow. I sew for a charity with a lovely group of generous women in South East Texas who love making doll clothes for donation and we especially enjoy making the "simply a skirt " pattern. Id guess a few hundred haha So thank you!!!!
In reading some of the other contestants comments, I see that I am not the only one who struggles to find TIME to sew…… “Life is what happens when you’re making other plans.”
My struggle is time!!
My biggest sewing challenge has been making tiny 1/12 scale clothing but the classes and tutorials have been wonderful for my 15-18” dolls!
I appreciate the step by step basic tutorials because my young pupils have such beautiful step by step instructions and images to follow while I explain in real time
My. Biggest sewing challenge is remembering to reinforce my sewing at beginning and end.
My biggest issue is myself and my confidence. I see lots of patterns I would love to make. Since I am relatively new to sewing I read the instructions or video and right off say I can’t do that. I also have a extremely difficult time with straight even lines and get frustrated because its not even. Others tell me they look good but I still see the mess ups.
I just love the tutorials. Sometimes I think in adult clothes sewing and you provide a doll clothes sewing video. So helpful. Thx.

My biggest challenge is setting time aside to sew.
My biggest challenge is picking the right fabric and pattern to use.
My biggest sewing challenge is remembering the outfit I purchased fabric for.
I’d love to see more info on sourcing materials. Repurposing clothing was a total game changer for me and I’d love to learn more hints like that. Also more places to find to find unique scale buttons, zippers, cloak clasps, etc and what sizes are best.
Biggest challenge is finding small snaps, buttons, zippers etc for small doll clothes sewing

I echo what Cynthia C says about sewing for myself. It never seems to look quite right. OK, every once in a while I get it right, but more often than not, I don’t like the end result.
In doll clothes sewing, I struggle sometimes to make it not look home made
