This new jumper pattern is just as cute as can be, and definitely looks like something I would have worn to junior high in the 70’s. I love patterns I can make in denim, and while the denim I chose for this was a little heavier than I usually use for doll clothes, it worked perfectly with the simple lines of this jumper. One of my favorite features of this pattern is the zip up back … the pattern is written to use a standard zipper (rather than the invisible zippers we usually use in doll clothes back openings), and this kind of zipper just gives the jumper even more of a vintage era look, and actually works better in the heavier fabric this pattern calls for. I paired my jumper with a simple tailored long sleeved blouse, but it would also look great with a turtleneck or long sleeve t-shirt. As always with J Lyn patterns, the instructions are clear and well thought out … definitely a pattern I’ll be using again!
