The main elements of Tudor clothing for men consisted of a shirt, a doublet, short trousers and stockings.
Our tunic is inspired from the doublet but we extended the pleated peplum to knee length.
A doublet is a man's snug-fitting jacket that is shaped and fitted to the man's body.
The doublet was hip length during Medieval times and gradually became shorter or waist length towards the 17th century.
Pattern includes photographic sewing instructions to make the this Tudor Tunic and pattern components are multi-sized for two 18" doll sizes:
~ Sized to fit 18 inch larger dolls such as American Girl® and
~ Sized to fit the 18" slim Carpatina Dolls™ or Kidz n Cats Dolls
Recommended Fabrics: Light or mid weight fabrics like cotton, linen or brocades.
Supplies Needed:
• 1/2 yard main fabric
• 1/4 yard lining
• Decorative trims as needed
• 3-4 clasps for closure
• Matching threads
