BATHING SUIT: NOT suitable for one-way designs
1/4 yd stretch nylon or Lycra
1/8 yd stretch nylon or Lycra in contrast color
14 inches of 1/8 inch-wide elastic
18 inches of 1/8" wide ribbon
24 inches of butcher string (omit if using a ribbon)
COVER UP:
1/2 yd of soft, airy fabric such as lacy knit or gauze
24 inches of 1/8" wide ribbon
24 inches of butcher string (if not using ribbon)
1 package of lace hem tape (if a serger is unavailable)
TOOLS:
sewing maching with zig-zag setting
rotary cutter (helpful)
large-eyed needle, such as a carpet needle
serger (helpful) but instructions are included for no serger
