The Ruffles and Glam Jacket, by FROG Princess Fashions, is the perfect season-spanning accessory for all of your 18” doll outfits. The jacket features a princess-seamed front and back with a double ruffle trim that resembles butterfly wings, a double ruffle peplum, long, banded sleeves, and a contoured banded neckline. The jacket has a zipper front closure that requires* a short, 4” separating zipper (* if you have trouble locating a separating zipper that fits, there is an optional ribbon closure).
As you stitch this little jacket, you can experiment with fabrics such as sparkly sweatshirt fleece, printed fleece, quilted fabrics, cosplay velvet, ornamented denim and chambray, thin wale corduroy, chenille, and more. You can even mix and match prints and solids for a darling pieced look!
This adorable wardrobe stretcher offers many opportunities for glam embellishments, including sparkly ribbons and lace, rhinestone trim, glittery tulle ruffle trim, tassels and pompoms or other fancy zipper pulls, decorative separating zippers, and machine embroidery using shimmery threads. If you do not own an embroidery machine, you can also purchase a butterfly patch to sew on or iron on the back.
Your doll will delight in being “all glammed up” with the Frog Princess Fashions Ruffles and Glam Butterfly Jacket!
The custom "Ruffles and Glam" machine embroidery design set is sized for a perfect fit on the pattern pieces and is available separately from Frog Princess Fashions on Pixie Faire.
This pattern is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®.
