Your 18-inch doll will love this beautiful contemporary ballet ensemble which is perfect for everyday wear. Inspired by the Japanese Harajuku Girls’ street fashion, ‘Pretty Ballerina’ from Little Miss Muffett, consists of a Bodysuit, a layered Skirt and a Bolero.
The Bodysuit has a bound, scoop neckline and gathered puff sleeves with lace trim on the hem edges. The lace hem edges are echoed in the hems of the form fitting leggings which are finished with ribbon bows and gems. The bodysuit closes at Center Back with Hook & Loop Tape with a zipper finish.
The full gathered Skirt comprises of two fabric layers – lace edged fabric and sparkle tulle. The Waistband sports Ribbon Ties which are fed through Belt Carrier Loops to tie in a bow at Center Front.
The lined Bolero has little buttoned tabs and is finished with optional embroidered flowers and gems.
This fairly easy intermediate pattern by Little Miss Muffett, is designed to fit 18-inch soft-bodied dolls such as American Girl®.
Recommended Fabrics: Four-Way Stretch Knit was used for the Bodysuit, Quilters’ Cotton for the Skirt and Bolero Lining, Lightweight Denim for the Bolero and Lightweight Sparkle Tulle for the Skirt Overlay. Broad Eyelet Border Lace was used for the Skirt trim.
