I used this pattern for my granddaughters first sewing project. She is only six but she had it in her mind she wanted to make her doll a dress. We used a bright tutti fruiti fabric so instead of the fringe we applied eyelet lace. It turned out so cute and she is so proud! The only thing I would say, it would be nice to have a length measurement for the bias tape. We used scrap fabric from a different project so we didn't have a full 1/3 yd piece of fabric to start with. We used bias tape instead so we would have plenty.
