Cotillion Club 18" Doll Machine Embroidery Design Set

Does your doll love a bit of fancy embroidery on her 50's style dress? The Cotillion Club Machine Embroidery Design Set is a combination of five custom machine embroidery designs digitized specifically for the Frog Princess Fashions Cotillion Club Gown sewing pattern designed to fit 18” dolls such as American Girl®.

The set includes in the hoop designs for creating lovely scalloped edges on the collar and sleeves, upper tie end, and lower tie end edge finishes, as well as a 3-piece, 3-dimensional corsage. The collar, tie ends, and sleeves are stitched completely in the hoop with linings to match the actual sewing pattern pieces, but with decorative machine embroidery added to the edges. The tie ends features lower edging only. The corsage is stitched out and put together with a simple gathering stitch before attaching to the finished garment. As such, these require different hoop sizes to complete, since they match the actual pattern pieces which also vary in size. All designs in the set will fit individually in 8x8 hoops and up.

Design Hoops and Sizes:

• The 3D corsage set fits a 4x4 hoop.
• The smaller tie end fits a 4x4 hoop.
• The larger tie end fits a 5x7 hoop.
• The sleeve fits a 5x7 hoop.
• The collar requires an 8x8 hoop or larger.

Additional Supplies Needed:

• ½ yd of fabric in an accent color such as white; if using a dark color, use a white or very light complementary thread color

Notions:

• Lightweight stabilizer of your choice* (Tear-away stabilizer for sheer fabrics)
• Transparent liquid or spray-on fabric stiffener for corsage pieces, or make your own with gelatin, clear glue, or starch (test on scrap piece first)
• New, sharp size 11/12 needle
• High quality machine embroidery thread to match or complement main fabric of dress

What You Get: Five embroidery machine digitized designs in 12 file formats. You will receive an instant download zipped file that contains a folder with each of the file formats listed above. Each file format is conveniently saved in its own separate folder for easy use. You need to be able to unzip the zipped file to use it. You must have an embroidery machine and know how to transfer the file to your machine in order to use this.
