The Cheerful Cables Dress is a versatile, all-occasion knit with a refined, under-stated elegance. A classic, tailored dress silhouette is used to showcase two pretty, decorative elements; a lacy, V-neck detail on the fitted bodice, and cabled skirt with slight A-line flare. Worked from the top down, and using both straight and circular knitting, this knit employs a seamless construction method to minimize bulky seams. Raglan sleeves with additional increases are used to create short sleeves with a gentle puffed appearance. Integrated garter button bands create a full, rear opening for easy dressing. Designed to fit 18-inch soft bodied dolls such as American Girl® and Maplelea® dolls, this pattern includes two length options for creating a dress that falls above the knee or, just below the knee. This knit is rated intermediate as it includes both cabling and knitting in the round for sleeve finishing.
