Fully lined tote by BramBelles Boutique with a flat base and sides tapering out at the top. Three handle options are offered. These include:- Cord handles threaded through eyelets and held in place with knots, handles attached using rivets and handles stitched on. This bag can be made from scraps or recycled jeans etc., and allows for creativity in choice and use of embellishments.
The PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18" dolls.
Recommended Fabrics: Light to medium weight home furnishing fabrics, duck or canvas, denim, and corduroy. Cottons for lining.
Supplies Needed:
- Main Fabric 12" x 12"
- Lining 12" x 12"
- Matching thread
- Small piece of iron-on interfacing
- 4 x 3/8" eyelets (hole size 3/16")
- 24 " of 3/16" cord OR two 1" x 10" strips of Denim Seam fabric, braid or heavy cotton tape
- Desired embellishments (buttons, flowers, patches, ribbons etc.)
An extra note: The jelly bracelets used for the handles are plastic and flexible. They come in bright color bundles at trendy jewelry stores in the mall, in many party stores, craft stores, children’s departments or in Walmart’s main jewelry department. You can find them online at Oriental Trading, Ebay and Amazon with great deals. You might need to purchase more than one bundle to get 2 matching colors, or try mixing for a fun mismatched look.
