Every girl needs a pretty blouse as part of their wardrobe. What girl does not like a bow and you can make this bow special depending on what fabric you choose. Blouses go with pants and skirts depending on the fabric choices. You can customize your blouse making it in a solid or a print.
This PDF sewing pattern was designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®.
Suggested Fabrics: woven fabric for the blouse and coordinating woven fabric for the collar
Supplies Needed:
- 1/4 yd of fabric or fat quarter for the body of the blouse.
- 11 inches X 4 inches piece of fabric for the collar.
- 8 inch square of fabric in a coordinating color cut into four 6-inch long bias cut strips of fabric 1 inch wide for the cuffs and one bias cut strip of fabric 1 1/4 inch wide x 2-inch long for the bow knot tube. (A quick way is to cut the strips from a package of Double Wide 1/2 inch Bias Tape in a coordinating color.)
- Matching thread, long piece of thin ribbon or tube turner
- 4 1/2 inches of 1/4 inch wide hook and loop tape
