Flamenco is now closely linked to Spanish culture, although its birth is the result of a beautiful amalgamation of many cultures (Greek, Roman, Jewish, Moorish, Gypsy, Indian...) which would have taken place in Andalusia, in the district now known as Sacromonte. Appreciated by the Spaniards since the 19th century, it entered the international scene at the beginning of the 20th century, and is today recognized as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The dress of flamenco dancers has gone through several variations, moving from sobriety to exuberance. Here is a version, precisely full of exuberance and details. The two ruffles trimmed with lace give ample movement at the bottom of the dress and the fringes of the V-neck will fly away with each dance movement, accompanying the rhythm of the music. The sleeves are decorated with rose and pearls, elements that we also find in a headband that surrounds the hair and allows the dancer to also play with the movement of her hair while freeing the face. A fan, an essential tool for flamenco dance, completes the outfit. The dress closes at the back with an invisible zipper, which keeps all the grace of the dress.
