If you look closely at the lower portion of the sweater, you will see a fence motif with a row of houses in the background. The welcoming light is coming from their open doors under a crisp, star-filled night.
Worked from the bottom up on one circular needle, the cardigan is an easy knit for those who have experience with stranded colorwork. The sleeves are made on dpns and connect to the body at the underarm. There is a circular yoke at the top with a rolled neck edge, and the front closes with 5 tiny buttons on a crocheted edge.
This Icelandic style cardigan is sized to fit 18" dolls such as the American Girl®. Minor adjustments may be required for slimmer dolls.

-1 US Size 3 circular needle
-3 colors of fingering weight (2 ply) yarn or similar very light weight yarn
-Five 3/8" buttons
-Crochet hook, Size D
*50 gm balls of yarn will leave you plenty for another sweater!
