The Warm Winter Coat 18" Doll Clothes

The Warm Winter Coat pattern is a classic style, double breasted, hooded coat, featuring easy to sew Kimono style sleeves. The Kimono sleeves are drafted in one with the bodice. So, no sleeves to set in!

Choose between two lengths. Directions are included for both a fully lined or unlined version.  

This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®.

Recommended Fabrics:   Suggested fabrics include: lightweight wool, corduroy, flannel, fleece, suiting, lightweight twill. The lining can be made from any poly or rayon lining fabric.

Short Coat:
-5/8 Yard 45” Coat Fabric (More if you need to match plaids or stripes)
-1/4 Yard 45” Lining Fabric (Hood, Cuffs, Trim) OR 5/8 Yard 45” Lining Fabric for full lining
-1/8 Yard Faux Fur Fabric
-Six 3/8” (9mm) Buttons
-Two Snaps size 3/0
-3/4 Yard of 5/8” Ribbon for Belt (Optional to
-Self Fabric Belt-Thicker fabrics like fleece can be difficult to sew into a belt)
-Long Coat
-3/4 Yard 45” Coat Fabric (More if you need to match plaids or stripes)
-1/4 Yard 45” Lining Fabric (Hood, Cuffs,Trim) OR 3/4 Yard 45” Lining Fabric for full lining
-1/8 Yard Faux Fur Fabric
-Six 3/8” (9mm) Buttons
-Two Snaps size 3/0
-3/4 Yard of 5/8” Ribbon for Belt (Optional to Self Fabric Belt-Thicker fabrics like fleece can be difficult to sew into a belt)
