Your 18-inch doll will be ready for a variety of summer activities in this darling culotte jumpsuit. The sweetheart neckline paired with princess seam detailing highlight the femininity while the loose fitting pleat front legs add a bit of casual touch to keep the design youthful and ready for play! The bodice is lined and all three variations close in the back with either snaps or hook and loop tape.

Once summer passes, this design transitions nicely into fall paired with a cozy cardigan or the Liberty Jane Denim jacket!

The pattern includes three design variations.

Modified the pattern for another cute look

I used the bodice from this pattern to make a cute jumper. Since I skipped all the steps regarding the pants, I can't speak to the difficulty of the entire pattern, but I found the bodice instructions to be straightforward and easy to follow.

    Good pattern

This is definitely an intermediate pattern but the directions were so clear and easy to follow. I’ll definitely make a few more!

    Very challenging

Between all the pieces and the slippery fabric I chose, this was a challenge. All those seams provide many opportunities for error. My seam allowances must have been a little off because my jumpsuit wouldn't close in the back. I think I would have a better result if I use a sturdier, less slippery fabric and use smaller seam allowances.

    Adorable

This pattern was a challenge for my sewing skills. The instructions were very well written and easy to follow. My novice skills were put to a test with the princess seams and lots of small pieces. I'm pleased with how well the long version turned out. I just wish the instructions has used a different fabric. At times it was difficult for me to tell the difference with the right side and wrong side with the red fabric. Fit my dolls perfectly. Thanks for the new skills I learned.

Culotte Jumpsuit for 18 inch Doll

The culotte jumpsuit came out so cute. I made it in a fox print. I gathered the shoulder straps a bit to give the jumpsuit a feminine look. I made a pair of matching "fox" shoes to go with it. It is my personal feeling that this is a pattern for a more experienced seamstress.
