Campaign Jacket 18" Doll Clothes

12 reviews   |

The decade of the 1960s was ushered in with one of the youngest and most elegant First Ladies in recent American history. Jacqueline Kennedy set a style standard that included iconic design and deliberate simplicity. Pillbox hats, Chanel suits, and pearls were all elements of her personal style. The Forever 18 Inches Campaign Jacket pattern pays homage to her and the "Camelot" years of the early 1960s.

The Jacket features include authentic Sixties detailing such as contrast binding, a cropped length, and pocket detailing. Choices for variation include two types of pockets, two sleeve lengths, and an option for an open Jacket Front not meant to close. Best of all, with only three main pattern pieces and no lining it's simple and relatively quick to make. The contrasting binding uses an easy and elegant Hong Kong Finish for maximum customization potential and minimal bulk. The Jacket closes with decorative button-covered snaps, and is designed to pair with other Forever 18 Inches Sixties patterns: The Good Vibrations Sixties Dress, the Scarf Top and Stirrup Pants, and the Timeless Schoolgirl Skirt. Finally, to finish an outfit off with an authentic Sixties flair, a bonus pattern for a triangular headscarf is also included.

This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®.
