Dolly Chain 13-14.5" Doll Clothes Knitting Pattern

Dolly Chain features a string of paper dolls holding hands in the knit design. So adorable!
Construction of the dress: The dress knits flat with a back buttoned closure.  The sleeves are created by casting on extra stitches at the armholes.
The infinity shawl: The lacy stitch on the shawl is a four row repeat. The shawl has a back closure with 2 or 3 buttons depending on the width of the shawl. There are 2 options with the second one larger in width than the first one.

Recommended Yarns:  Fingering or cotton thread no5

Testers used the following Yarns:

• Artiste® Acrylic no 5 thread
• Aunt Lydia® no 10

Supplies Needed:

Any light fingering yarn or cotton thread no5 that will give you the appropriate gauge.
Examples used:
For WellieWishers® Doll :

• Main Color - DMC® Petra Crochet Cotton 5: 28 grams = 122.5 yards / 60.0 meters.
• Contrast Color - DMC® Petra Crochet Cotton 5: 15 grams = 65.6 yards / 60.0 meters.

For Heart for Heart™ Dolls:

• Main Color - DMC® Petra Crochet Cotton 5:20 grams = 87.5 yards / 80.0 meters.
• Contrast Color - DMC® Petra Crochet Cotton 5: 10 grams = 43.7 / 40.0 meters.

For Corolle Les Cheries®:

• Main Color - DMC Petra Crochet Cotton 5: 20 gram = 87.5 yards / 80.0 meters.
• Contrast Color - DMC Petra Cotton 5: 10 gram = 43.7 yards / 40.0 meters.

For the Shawls
DMC® Petra Crochet Cotton 5: About 15 grams = 65.6 yards / 60.0 meters each.

Other supplies:

• Straight or circular knitting needles size US 1 + 1 ½ (2.25 + 2.5 mm)
• 2 DPNS size US 1 (2.25 mm) x 2 for the I–Cord.
• 3/8’’ Wide buttons x 5 for dress + 2 or 3 buttons for the shawl.
• Row counter or a pencil to tick off the rows as you knit.
• Tapestry + ordinary sewing needle
