Our sweater is made from a lightweight sweater knit with a stretch lace front. Chiffon, silk, or even a sequin mesh will also work nicely as the overlay. Using a sweatshirt or fleece knit with no overlay will make a great basic top also! There are so many wonderful options to play with in this PDF pattern!
This great skater skirt with a fitted yoke, is designed to be made in a faux leather fabric or knit type fabric that needs no hemming. We found that hemming this type of skirt only prevented the nice drape needed.

-1/3 yard of lightweight knit/sweater fabric
-1/4 yard or small scrap fabric for overlay
-1/2" wide lace hem tape
-One 1/4" button
-Matching Embroidery Thread
Skirt:
-1/4 yard faux leather
-Scrap fabric for lining
-One skirt hook and eye
