Fabric choice is very important when making this coat as the back flounce needs a somewhat drapey fabric that will allow the subtle folds to form.
Suggested fabrics include: lightweight wool, rayon/poly blends, suiting and a lightweight twill. The lining can be made from any poly or rayon lining fabric. We used a delicate cotton lawn print to add a little special treat to the inside of the jacket pictured.
