The American Cornhole Classic PDF pattern will guide you through the steps to make a cornhole set that has been scaled down to 18" doll proportions. Power tools are needed for this project so ADULT SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED. The pattern includes instructions for the game boards and also for how to sew the bags. Game play instructions have also been included.
Don't have woodworking tools? Alternate instructions for making this fun game using foam board and basic crafting tools are also included! Your dolls will love this game!
Suggested Fabrics: Pine for boards. Quilting cottons for bags. (Foam board can be used as an alternate to the wood.)
Supplies Needed:
For Boards:
•1” thick x 10” wide x 4’ long (actual dimensions ”3/4” Thick x 9.25” wide x 4’ long board) Purchase lumber (pine or equivalent) with minimal or no knots.
• 2 packs of 1 1/2” hinges (usually 2 per pack)
• Primer
• Paint
• Decals
• 150 grit sand paper
• 220 grit sand paper
Tools Needed:
• Tape Measure
• Table Saw
• Miter saw
• Drill
• 2” hole saw or 2” forstner bit
For Bags:
• Two strips of fabric in coordinating or contrasting colors 21⁄2” x 20” each. Cut each strip into eight 21⁄2“ squares.
• Thread
• Popcorn kernels
• Funnel
• Kitchen scale or Tablespoon
• Iron & Ironing board
• Pins
