The Stacy and Stella Puffer Jacket PDF Pattern includes pieces and instructions for making a padded and fully lined puffer jacket or vest. There are 8 possible variations, including two lengths and pocket styles, hood or collar, sleeves or sleeveless. The design has a hook and loop tape closing and functional pockets. It is designed to fit an 18 inch American Girl Doll.
Recommended Fabrics:
Ripstop nylon for outer (light rain jacket material) or pre-quilted material
Light flannel or fleece for the lining
Fuss-able webbing if not using pre-quilted fabric
Fur fabric for hood trim or collar lining
Stretch ribbing for the cuff of the version with sleeves.
Supplies Needed:
-1/3 of a yard of rip stop nylon or pre-quilted fabric
-1/3 of a yard of lining material such as flannel or light fleece.
-1/3 of a yard of fusible batting (not required if using pre-quilted fabric)
-A piece of faux fur at least 16 x 3 inches.
-Matching thread
-Small piece of lightweight hook and loop tape.
-Piece of knit ribbing at least 3 x 6 inches for the cuff of the jacket with sleeves.
Skill Level: Intermediate. You will need the basic understanding of how to use a sewing machine and be familiar with sewing straight seams, corners, turning right side out, and top stitching.
