This Tudor Ensemble pattern from Read Creations contains everything you need to turn your doll into a Tudor Lady. The pattern includes instructions for a Spanish Farthingale, Petticoat, Dress and French Hood. Hook and loop or eyelet closure options are provided.
The Petticoat can have up to three colors for even more fun and mix'n'match opportunities. Add some accessories and use the reversible French Hood and your doll is all set to attend court with many different looks.
This PDF pattern is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®.

Recommended Fabrics: cotton and brocade fabrics
Supplies Needed:
Spanish Farthingale:
- 2/3 yard heavy cotton fabric
-11" of 1/4" wide elastic
- 1/4" wide boning 92" long or multiple cable ties about 1/4" wide
- Duct tape
Petticoat
- (3) 12" x14" pieces of brocade or cotton fabric (different colors and/or fabrics for mix and match)
- (1) pack of 1/4" wide double folded bias tape
- 11" of 1/4" wide elastic
Dress
- 2/3 yard (43" wide) or 1/2 yard (58" wide) of brocade, satin, taffeta or cotton fabric
- 1/4 yard of lining fabric
- 4" x 28" fur or velvet (optional, dress material can be used instead)
- Decorative trim (1/8" - 3/16" wide)
- Seed beads or rhinestones for trim decoration (optional)
- Closure options
- 2 3/4" long hook and loop tape (1/4" wide) or
- (10) 1/8" eyelets with optional washers (washers recommended) and 32" long 1/8" ribbon
French Hood
- (2) 8" x 5" pieces of brocade, satin, taffeta or cotton fabric (can be different colors to give more mix and match possibilities)
- 5" x 10" heavy iron-on interfacing
- Decorative trim (1/8" - 3/16" wide)
- Seed beads or rhinestones for trim decoration (optional)
- 5" long black elastic (1/4" wide)
- 9" of 1/4" wide double-folded bias tape (black recommended)
