Tyrol 18" Doll Clothes Pattern

1 review   |

Inspired by classic fairytale books, and my love of mountains, this adorable pattern allows your doll to visit the alps too. Alternatively, take a different twist and you have an outfit for your doll working around the house or creating craft projects. Take it a step further by removing the apron and scarf, and you have a beautiful pinafore over a smart blouse, which is just perfect for an outing to town or a visit to the relatives.

The “Tyrol” outfit, by Karen Lorraine Design, consists of a crisp, unlined blouse (with optional collar) and a trendy pinafore. Both pieces have easy-to-open back closures of hook and loop tape or snap fasteners. The clean-cut apron adds versatility to the pattern, while the bonus headscarf has extra-long ties to allow for easy securing. There is also a special section in this pattern demonstrating the ribboned variation of the pinafore.

This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18-inch dolls such as American Girl® and Our Generation™.

To ensure the best fit, you might want to check your 18-inch doll’s measurements against Josefina, who was one of my doll models, as follows:

  • Chest 115/8"
  • Waist 103/8"
  • Hips 11"
  • Biceps 43/8"
  • Wrist 3½"

This pattern also includes photos of 18-inch dolls other than Josefina. It has also been tested on various 18-inch dolls, including different-sized American Girl® dolls.

This pattern is also available designed to fit 14-14.5" dolls such as Hearts for Hearts Girls® and WellieWishers™, as well as 13" dolls such as Corolle® Les Cheries.
