Complete your 18 inch doll costume with a great hat from My Angie Girl! History is full of pointy hats. From the towering hennins favored by medieval noblewomen to the iconic witch’s hat made famous by the Wicked Witch of the West, this cone-shaped topper is a millinery must have. When we think of dressing up in costumes, images of pointy hats abound, and nothing says “fairy tale princess” like a pointy cone-shaped hat with a veil attached.
The Pointy Hats pattern is simple to make. Sewing directions are given for the witch hat and the hennin, but both could be similarly made without sewing and using glue instead. Your hat can be made from felt and accessorized with decorative trim, ribbon, tulle, etc. For felt that is less stiff, you may want to add iron-on interfacing.
Pair these hats with the My Angie Girl Storybook Tutu Costume Dress for 18 inch dolls!
