I love a versatile pattern that can be used to make a lot of different designs. Your doll will enjoy having a variety of cardigans and turtleneck sweaters of her own!
This pattern includes instructions for creating either a collared cardigan or a turtleneck sweater. There are four different fair isle designs included. The sweaters are worked from the neck down to cut back on finishing work at the end. Because all the fair isle is on the yoke, it's easier to dress your dolls, too!
This PDF knitting pattern is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®.
Supplies Needed:
-Fingering Weight Yarn (1) in two to four colors. 1 skein for main color, 1/4 skein or less for highlight colors. I personally use Palette or Stroll from Knitpicks, which has 231 yards in a 50 gram ball.
-Two sets (or two pairs of circular) Knitting needles in US sizes 0, 1, and 2. (2, 2.25, and 2.5 mm)
-stitch markers
-5-6 sets 4/0 snaps, or buttons if you choose to make buttonholes.
