It zips open along the top and about halfway down each side for easy access of contents. This roomy bag will hold a pair of shoes with socks and ball or a pair of skates. A large pocket on the back and two pockets (including a mesh water bottle pocket) on the front will hold lots of extras such as important papers, etc. Instructions are included for both a detachable shoulder strap or permanent shoulder strap. Have fun choosing different fabric combinations and ribbon in your school colors, team colors, or favorite colors. It also makes a great overnight bag.

Recommended Fabrics: Light to medium weight twill or denim, quilters' cotton*, Kona cotton*, broadcloth* *Use fusible interfacing with lighter weight fabric.
Supplies Needed:
- 1/4 yard or fat quarter of woven fabric for main pieces of bag or entire bag
- Scrap of woven fabric for Pockets A and C
- Scrap of mesh fabric for Pocket B
- About a 10”X10” piece of interfacing for lighter weight fabric to interface back/front pieces and top pieces (It is usually not necessary to interface the bottom, because it has a double thickness of fabric.
- 36-40 inches of 1/2 inch or 5/8 inch wide grosgrain ribbon The amount of ribbon needed depends upon what options for handles, shoulder straps, and trim you use.
- 9-inch or longer nylon zipper
- Two 1/2 inch size D-ring/swivel hook sets for detachable shoulder strap
- 3-inch piece of fold over elastic or 1/4-inch wide braided elastic for mesh pocket
- Small piece of plastic canvas (4.0” x 1.75”)
- 6-inch piece of 1/4-inch wide elastic for optional hockey stick or baseball bat carrier
- Matching or contrasting thread
