Recommended Fabrics: Light-to-medium weight fabrics work well for this top, particularly quilting cottons and lightweight dress fabrics with a bit of body. Not recommended for heavier satins and brocades. A medium-weight quilter's cotton (or other similar fabric) works well for the dress variation.
Supplies Needed: 1. Woven fabric: 1/4 yd. + ½ yd. for contrast binding (or 1/2 yd. total/no contrast)
2. Matching thread
3. Three snaps OR two 3” pieces of thin Hook-and-Loop
4. Fray Check for fabrics with a tendency to ravel
5. Small, sharp scissors
Optional: - One 2-1/4” x 2-1/2" piece of very lightweight fusible interfacing
for the pocket body (for very lightweight fabrics)
- Contrast thread for the top stitching on the pocket/placket
- For faux placket: three ¼” buttons
