Sausalito Sundress Machine Embroidery Design

The Sausalito Sundress, by FROG Princess Fashions,  was inspired by a day trip to this cheerful harbor while visiting San Francisco, California. The rows of sailboats in their slips gave rise to the red, white, and blue themed smocking and embroidery that embellishes the center front panel. Whether you decide to pleat and smock your dress is up to you. It is equally charming when made with the embroidery on a plain front panel or with the smocking design on a plain or pleated front panel.
This dress requires an embroidery machine with a 5 x 7 hoop or larger. All of the pieces are created in the hoop and there is no paper pattern. No stabilizer is required for stitching out the pieces. Simply hoop your fabric and stitch out the design.

This dress is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®.

Design Hoops and Sizes:

Hoop sizes 5 x 7, 6 x 10, or 8 x 12 . Smallest design in the set measures 1.88" x 2.09" and largest design in the set measures 5" x 5."

Machine Formats:
BMC, DST, EXP, PCS, PEC, PES, HUS, JEF, SEW, VIP, AND XXX.

Additional Supplies Needed:
Fabrics suited to this dress may vary from traditional nautical designs to pastels and brights, depending upon your taste and creativity. The layers provide options for combining prints and adding interest to the dress. The front panel may be smocked or embroidered, as you choose. Try one or several combinations.

Each file format is conveniently saved in its own separate folder for easy use. You need to be able to unzip the zipped file to use it. You must have an embroidery machine and know how to transfer the file to your machine in order to use this.
