Bella’s Bow-tied Booties, by FROG Princess Fashions, were inspired by some crocheted baby booties that caught my eye. When I realized that they were somewhat similar to my own high top stitched shoe design, Bella’s Bow-Tied Bootie design was underway.
I revamped my stitched high top shoe, adding a few adjustments to the size and shape in order for the tongue to overlap the heel and be assembled last, and adding eyelets along the top for the shoestrings.
The result was a cute little boot that is both trendy and easy to construct in the hoop. It is versatile enough to be used with woven fabrics as well as craft materials such as vinyl and faux leather.
Best of all, it is super cute tied with a bow, either in the front or the back!
This style is also available in the 18” size for dolls such as American Girl® and can be stitched with a 5 x 7 hoop or larger. And, to make your construction simple, this design works with the Pixie Packs Shape 2 Pre-Cut Soles, but a template of that sole shape is provided for your to cut your own.
This outfit is designed to fit 13-14.5" dolls such as WellieWishers™, Hearts for Hearts Girls® and Corolle® les Cheries.

Shoe uppers measure 4.11" x 1.79" and tongues measure 2.12" x 2.68". One complete set of uppers and tongues fits a 5" x 7" hoop.

Additional Supplies Needed:
This design works well with woven fabrics as well as vinyl and pleather and fits the Pixie Packs Pre-Cut Soles, Shape 2. A template is provided for those who wish to cut their own soles. Embellishments such as beads, charms, tassels, and pompoms can be added to the ribbon or cord ties and shoes can be trimmed with 1/4" elastic, ribbon, or studded trim.

Each file format is conveniently saved in its own separate folder for easy use. You need to be able to unzip the zipped file to use it.
