The jumper is a simple skirt gathered into a curved waistband that gently shapes the waistline. Wide straps hug the shoulders giving it a classic 1860s outline. The straps are fixed in place and the skirt fastens in the back with a single snap. Lace or other trim can be applied along the edges of the straps and waistband for a graceful appearance. The blouse features full billowing sleeves, popular in the early 1860s, that fasten at the cuff with a button and button loop. It fastens in back with three buttons, although snaps or hook and loop tape can be used if preferred. The ruffled stand-up collar and decorative stitching and buttons give this simple blouse a dash of elegance that is perfectly suited to the jumper.

- One small decorative bow
