Welcome to 50s N Gingham by Dolly Wears. This dress is an authentic replica of a little girls dress that was worn in the 1950's. The Bodice has two variation. Both variations have beautiful ruffles that wrap around the Front of the Bodice to the Back of the Bodice. You can choose from a Sleeveless Bodice or beautiful ruffled Sleeves. The Skirt is a full gathered Skirt with beautiful lace that wraps around the Skirt. Along with a net underskirt sewn into the Skirt which gives the Skirt the look of the 1950’s. This pattern is a step-by-step PDF pattern with picture illustrations showing you how to sew this dress every step of the way. Gingham fabric was very popular in the 1950’s, but, this dress looks beautiful with any cotton fabric.
This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 19’’ Gotz® dolls.
Recommended Fabric: Gingham, Cotton such as quilting cotton
Supplies Needed:
- ¾ yard gingham
- ¼ yard netting for underskirt
- View A (Sleeveless Bodice) 1 yard of gathered lace (using between ½’’ to ⅞’’ width)
- View B (Bodice with Sleeves) 2 yards of gathered lace (using between ½’’ to ⅞’’ width)
- 1¼ yards of 1½’’ flat lace
- Hook and loop tape
- Matching thread
