Welcome to 50s N Gingham by Dolly Wears. It is an authentic replica of a little girls dress that was worn in the 1950's. The Bodice has two variations. Both variations have beautiful ruffles that wrap around from the Front of the Bodice to the Back of the Bodice. You can choose from a Sleeveless Bodice or beautiful ruffled Sleeves. The Skirt is a full gathered Skirt with a net underskirt which gives the full look of the 1950's.
This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®.
Recommended Supplies: Cotton, Gingham
Supplies Needed:
- ¾ yard gingham or any cotton fabric
- ¼ yard netting for underskirt
- View A (Sleeveless Bodice) 1 yard of gathered lace using between ½’’ to ⅞’’ width)
- View B (Bodice with Sleeves) 2 yards of gathered lace (using between ½’’ to ⅞’’ width)
- 1¼ yards of 1½’’ flat lace
- Hook and loop tape or three ⅜’’ buttons
- Matching thread
- Water soluble pen and Small hole punch
