Your 14.5-inch doll will be ready to get out and enjoy the outdoors in this versatile zip front hooded jacket. Perfect for all seasons! The jacket can be made unlined or lined, making it great as a lightweight wind breaker jacket, a stylish rain coat, or a warmer fleece lined ski jacket! Layer it over snow pants or a bib suit and show off your snow boarding skills!
This pattern includes many options: an unlined jacket with hood, lined jacket with hood or collar. There is an additional back gathering and a simplified version with less top stitching. This jacket can be made with a variety of fabrics.
This doll clothes sewing pattern by QTπ Pattern Co is designed to fit 14.5" dolls such as WellieWishers™. This design is available separately to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl® and Kidz N Cats® dolls.
Recommended Fabrics:
- Outer shell: Denim, micro-tech, nylon, micro fleece, lightweight faux leather, lightweight wool or any light to medium weight fabric you may have.
- Lining: Any light weight fabric. Fun quilting cottons and flannel work well.
- Zippers: If you can’t find the right length zipper you can trim your zipper. Cut with pinking shears or seal ends, then stitch the top if the teeth by hand to stop the zipper pull from coming off.
Supplies Needed:
- ¼ yard outer fabric
- ¼ yard lining (for lined jackets only)
- 5” separating zipper
- 6” x ¾ ” thick bias tape or ribbon (optional back detail)
- Two- 4” x ¼” pieces of elastic (optional back detail)
