The sweetheart neckline paired with princess seam detailing highlights the femininity while the loose-fitting pleat front legs add a bit of casual touch to keep the design youthful and ready for play! The bodice is lined and all three variations close in the back with either snaps or hook and loop tape.
Once summer passes, this design transitions nicely into fall paired with a cozy cardigan or the Liberty Jane Denim jacket!
The pattern includes three design variations.
- View A - 3/4 length culotte length wide-leg fit, lined bodice, sweetheart neckline, princess seams, spaghetti straps, front pleats, front pockets, and a snap back closure.
- View B - full-length pant with a narrower leg fit, lined bodice, sweetheart neckline, princess seams, spaghetti straps, front pleats, front pockets, and a snap (or hook and loop tape) back closure.
- View C - shorts length romper, lined bodice, sweetheart neckline, princess seams, spaghetti straps, front pleats, front pockets, and a snap (or hook and loop tape) back closure.
Suggested fabrics include: Lightweight woven fabrics such as lawn, voile, shirting, chambray, gingham, rayon challis, and silky prints.
Supplies Needed:
- 1/3 yd fashion fabric 44" width (1/4 yd for Shorts Variation)
- Small scrap fabric if a contrasting lining is desired for Bodice
- Matching thread
- 2 size 3/0 Snaps or Hook and Loop Tape
- Iron and pressing tools
- Hand sewing needle
