Make trendy, fun, elegant or dance tights for your doll. These tights have a seam at the back. This helps minimize the bubbles over the bridge of the doll's foot without adding an extra dart. Use any type of knit or stretch fabric. Lycra, dance mesh, stretch lace and more. Included are 2 pattern options to accommodate normal stretch fabrics or those that stretch even more! Also included are 2 methods for adding the elastic. Either an exposed elastic or a hidden one.
This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 16 inch Disney® Animators' dolls.
This pattern is available separately to fit 14.5 inch dolls and 18 inch dolls.
Recommended Fabrics: Light weight knitted fabrics. You can also use stretch lace, cotton, dance mesh or nylon spandex.
Supplies Needed:
- Fabric for tights — 9.5” x 14”
- Narrow Scallop edge or flat Elastic (5/8” to 1/2” wide) — 7.25”
Machine Needle:
- Stretch Needle for “rubber” based fabric like Lycra
- Ball Point Needle for knit fabrics
