My Tent Dress designed by Pink Ladybug Fashions is a comfy trend from the 1970s. With no darts, no waistline and no belt, it's fitted at the top and loose at the bottom, creating a casual tent shape. The yoke is lined and the back is finished with hook and loop tape.
There are three options to add if you choose to:
1 - Pockets with bows and loops
2 - Front bow and tab
3 - Shoulder bows and loops
This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 14-14.5" dolls such as Hearts For Hearts Girls® and WellieWishers™. It is also available for 18" dolls such as American Girl®,
Recommended Fabrics: Lightweight cotton or cotton blend
Supplies Needed:
- 1/4 yard fabric for the front, back, and back facing
- 1/8 yard contrast fabric for the yoke and yoke facing
- The pockets, bows, and loops can be cut out of either fabric
- 4 1/4" soft hook and loop tape - 3/8" wide OR 1/2" wide with 1/8" trimmed off of each side.
