For hat made with size 3 thread:
- Size 3 cotton crochet thread, 1-2 balls in color of your choice (approx. 130 yds), sample made from Aunt Lydia's Fashion Crochet Thread®, HH Lizbeth® also makes a size 3 crochet thread
- Note: Depending on the tightness of your stitches, you may need a small amount more to complete your hat. One sample made from Red Heart® Fashion Crochet Thread Size 3. One ball contains 125 yds. I had a very small amount left after completing my sample.
- Size 0 (3.0mm) steel crochet hook
- Size 1 (2.5mm) steel crochet hook (or US C2)
For Hat made with size 10 thread:
- Size 10 cotton crochet thread, 2 balls in color of your choice (or approx. 250 yds)
- Size 3 (2.1mm) steel crochet hook
- Darning needle
